Is there a way to make the light turn off inst of Green

hi there, is there a way to turn off the light when user is not on the call, right now when it sync with Lync it will always show green. the user is requesting to turn the light off (without manually turn off) automatically when she is not on the call. I kind of have a feeling is to edit the Microsoft.Lync.Model.dll but don't know how to start.

I also have feedback that we need a option for turning off the green light when the user is not in a call.
