Working software for Lync 2013 x64 on Windows 7 x64?

I'm running Lync/Office 2013 x64 on Windows 7 x64 and it looks like Blync light doesn't want to work as an 'active' light. It works manually but doesn't see my Lync client. Any thoughts?
I'm not really getting much help from support.
