(Note: This is being asked repeatedly in another thread, but thought its own thread might increase chance of answer)
Will a firmware update be released to bring existing devices up to latest firmware capabilities? If so, is there any sort of ETA when?
If not, any explanation as to why not? Also if not, is there a way to easily determine from box what firmware a unit contains so we can ensure latest firmware?

Hi jwiede,
The latest Blync devices have new hardware components implemented so a firmware update will not be able to provide these existing device with the latest capabilities.
There is a SKU printed on the base of the unit in the format of BLYNCUSB?? - this will let you know what device and firmware you are running.
