We recently changed our phone system and currently it is not integrated with Lync. Hoping someone may have written a connector for the ShoreTel communicator app before I dig into it in my "spare" time.

Does ShoreTel have a presence/status solution? Do they have an API that we can access?

Yes they do to both. Anyone can signup for their dev program and get access to the API. They have "communicator" software that interfaces with their physical phones or can act like a softphone that will give the users status to other users. I know the api is able to access these features but not that good at doing things like this myself.

I've started playing around with this. Downloaded the API, understood the authentication process and how to gather status. However, I do not have an environment to test it. If anyone has a test account I can access that would let me test the functions of the CC API remotely that would be great. I believe a test account with access through Shoretel Cloud would also be sufficient. I just need an account that will allow me to login with the Shoretel Connect client and, in turn, help me access the CC API functions. Parameters the API is asking for are: 1. Username (username@domain.com) 2. Password 3. Service Location a. The service location is in the following format (as recommended by ShoreTel CCAPI support document): i. If the CCAPI is being accessed on the On-Premises server the service location value would be something like: http://<ECC server’s IP>:3001 ii. If the CCAPI is being accessed through cloud, the service location value would be: ccapi.sky.shoretel.comThanks Guys
